Jon + Robin @ 25-30 knots

On a crystal clear windy day Jon + Robin ventured to the waters edge next to the Edgartown Lighthouse. In front of family + friends they promised to spend the rest of their days together, respectfully and as best friends. They escaped to the leeward side of the Lighthouse and eventually headed to Oak Bluffs, to a few of their favorite spots, strolling, holding hands + being together before the big party that evening at Sharky’s Cantina.

A May Day I Do

Justice of the Peace: James Pringle
Accomodations + Ceremony Location: Hob Knob
Flowers: Donaromas
Hair: Sea Spa Salon
Shoes: Joan + David

Jen + Thad traveled all the way from Houston, TX  to say their “I dos” on Martha’s Vineyard. It couldn’t have been a more perfect May Day with the sun shining, warming anything and everyone that was out of doors. They chose Edgartown for its romantic backdrop and the Hob Knob, a  boutique hotel,  for an intimate location to exchange their vows and lay their heads at the days end.

Jen’s long hair inspired Stephanie at Sea Spa to create a magnificent woven up do with these dazzling red locks at their salon on North Water Street.

I had so much fun with these two. They were up for anything, to go anywhere and off we went – South!

Congratulations Jen and Thad!  I wish you much love and many fabulous adventures together.  August is very lucky to have you two as parents.

Why We Love Beach Weddings…

As the ground thaws and the weather warms up, memories of last year are stirring and excitement for this summer builds. Wedding season (and beach season!) cannot come quickly enough. I’ve been talking and meeting with couples to prepare for their 2013 weddings and several are choosing to say “I Do” with their toes in the sand.

The beach is the perfect place to host a ceremony – it’s romantic, spiritual and visually dramatic! Your guests will want to arrive early and stick around for days, maybe weeks, after the reception ends. If you haven’t considered marrying on the beach, you might after seeing some of my favorite beach weddings from 2012.

Will you marry me? Engagements during the holidays.

It happens frequently this time of year. Sometime during Chanukah, Christmas and the New Year is when the BIG question is asked. January is a very busy month with booking engagement sessions and weddings. I just LOVE engagement sessions. Couples are relaxed and very playful and so in love and I’m just capturing that vibe the way I do. Way take a walk, a stroll and you just get into being together in a relaxed and playful way. It’s the eyes and body language that has such expression for me. Locations can be on-island or at your favorite locale. Last year I photographed Donna and Andres on the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise…it was spectacular.

Best of Holiday and Thank You Cards

Here are several cards created in our workshop this year.  By brainstorming with clients, we custom design each card with flairs tailored to each family’s personal style.
