Ceremony: Old Whaling Church
Reception: Atria
Martha’s Vineyard has long been a popular retreat for artists, and this June two young film-makers came to the island to get married. Jasmine and Damien fell in love while making the indie musical Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench, which became a runaway success, meeting rave reviews and screening at many independent film festivals, including the island’s own Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival.
Jasmine and Damien tied the knot at a gorgeous weekend ceremony in Edgartown at the Old Whaling Church. Rebecca Miller of North Tabor Farm in Chilmark supplied the flowers, a romantic late spring mix of lisianthus and lavender. Pictures of the happy couple are featured in the current issue of Martha’s Vineyard Weddings.
Lori + Bill

The Bernstein summer home in Pilot Hill Farm overlooking Vineyard Sound set the stage for an incredible celebration and new beginning for Bill and Lori. It was the perfect Vineyard weekend with blue skies and crimson sunsets. Those fabulous New Yorkers really now how to throw and attend a party.

Island Ice Cream
June 6, 2010
In Early Summer of 2008 I teamed up with writer Ali Berlow to do an article for Cape Cod Life on making ice cream with local milk from Mermaid Farm and Dairy in Chilmark. There were only three sweet, simple ingredients in our recipe – milk, honey, and eggs. My chocolate lab Morelle thought the results were particularly delicious.
